On Wednesday, we had a BBQ at Millcreek Jr. High with my high school friends to celebrate the 24th! Ryan and Paigely Heath organized it. They bought a ton of hamburgers and hot dogs and even brought their grill over! Bobby and Erica McGuire brought their son Brody, who is only a couple of weeks younger than Ethan! Preston brought some fireworks and had fun setting them off! Everyone played games and had fun! Ethan found a baseball bat and carried it around for awhile! Paul took Ethan around to see some dogs that other people at the park had. We really appreciated how great everyone was with him! PJ and I had a lot of fun! It's nice that after all of these years we still keep in touch with my high school friends!

Collin the Hulk!

I just had to post these pictures of Collin dressed as the incredible Hulk! He picked out the gloves and mask (complete with sound effects) at the store and put them on as soon as he got home! Though Ethan was a little freaked out about it, the rest of us thoroughly enjoyed Collin wandering around the house, hitting the gloves together so they would make sounds! He took off the mask to show Ethan that it was him, and so Ethan would not get scared! Collin is such a great younger brother! He is always so happy and willing to do whatever to make others happy as well! We really love him a lot, and are grateful for the way he always brightens our day! It is impossible to be in a bad mood around him!

4th of July in Texas

Last weekend we were fortunate enough to get to spend the 4th at Sarah and Gary's! Everyone except Jake went and it was a lot of fun to just play around as a family! Ethan loved copying Aiden and playing Wii with Gary and his Dad! Thursday we went swimming, and Ethan was very brave at the pool. In fact, he was fearless! He kept trying to walk off the edge, right into the water, It makes me a little nervous for our cruise in December, we may have to buy him a leash! We spent the 4th shopping and having a BBQ at Sarah and Gary's. We could see fireworks from their house, so we watched a little (Ethan thought they were cool for a minute, then lost interest). Ethan and Aiden had dance parties together, and got in the tub! Aiden liked taking pictures with my camera, and so we got a lot of random pictures (some of Ethan's forehead and Aiden's closet, but also a few funny ones of people being goofy too)! We got back today, and though it's nice to be home, the weekend went by too fast! We had a lot of fun and are so glad we got to hang out as a family for at least a few days!

Ethan loves being outside, infact the kid would never come inside if we didn't make him! He got a really cool sand and water table from my parents for his birthday, and he loves to play in it, but he always gets soaked! So a couple of days ago, I decided to get in our swimsuits and have fun just playing in the water outside! I made sure the table was full, but we also put water on his slide, so that he could get all wet when he went down it! I should him how to use the sprayer on the hose (which I may really regret later) and he had fun spraying things (me included)! It has been getting so hot here that it was really fun to be outside and not be dying of heat! And Ethan is such a fun kid, he loves to be busy and explore new things, that he had a great time! We, of course, had to stop playing and watch every plane that flew overhead, Ethan has a new fascination with airplanes! He also loves to push around his stroller, so I had to put a picture of that in!
The other good news is that Ethan is really starting to talk now! Before he would say ball, woof, and he would say mom and dad, but not to us. Now he says mom when he wants me (or dad when he wants PJ), he also says, baby, binky, please, Raddy (that's my parent's dog's name), kitty, yes, wee, and he still is signing a bit! We, of course, feel that he is a genius!

Ethan and Aiden and Father's Day!

I just had to put this picture in of Ethan and Aiden liking batter off of the mixers! Sarah, Gary and Aiden came to visit for a week (unfortunately, I was in class for most of it). They are moving back to Utah and were looking at houses! The next picture is Ethan and his daddy riding a four wheeler. Ethan loves four wheelers and whenever we go over to my parents he wants to ride. He will even press the accelarator himself! Lastly, we have Father's Day! Ethan gave his daddy a book and matching shirts and I gave him the The Lord of the Rings extended version. We went to church, and then to my parents for a barbeque. It was a fun day! That night, I had to go up to Logan for my last workshop, so we couldn't Father's Day was cut a little short (I actually made a turkey dinner for PJ the night before to make up for it). It was a nice, relaxing day and I PJ, my dad, Tom, and Linden know how much we love and appreciate all that they do for us!
