The Cabin!

After two and a half years we finally made it back up to my grandparents cabin in Etna Wyoming (right outside of Star Valley)! Sarah and Gary planned out this trip months ago, and we're so glad they did! Most of my family went up on Friday the fifteenth, but we couldn't because we had a wedding on the sixteenth and Jack Johnson tickets on the eighteenth. So Monday, after the concert (which was so amazing, by the way) we headed up. We arrived at about 5:00 am on Tuesday morning. It was a long night, but Ethan slept through most of the drive, which is what we were hoping for (he hates being in the car for very long). We could only stay for a couple of days, but it was so fun! We did the usual four wheeling, and Ethan loved riding on them! We also did a bonfire and Joe Bailey juggled fire for us! Ethan also loved riding the big wheels on the deck. There were five of them and a miniture car, and he would just go back and forth between them all! Seeing how much fun he had made the drive totally worth it! We also had fun watching the Olympics, especially the fast walk racing, which was hilarious! We had to leave Thursday for another wedding, but we were happy that we got to go at all! We hope to get up there again soon!

Ethan and Justin!

Friday, Ethan and I went over to Matt and Nicole's to have a playdate with Justin! Ethan and Justin are only a little over a month apart in age, so it's fun for them to play together! Justin is my cousin Matt's son, and Nicole is his wife (though we were sorority sisters and friends also, so it was really great when they got married and she became a member of the family). Justin was asleep when we got there, but Nicole got some toys out for Ethan. Though Ethan is always pretty shy with people at first, he warmed up to Nicole pretty quickly! When Justin woke up, he just wanted his mom for awhile, but soon he started playing on the floor with Ethan. The best was when they were both running around Justin's room, throwing a football, and climbing on his bed together! Then Ethan found this little Spiderman ride-along toy of Justins and hopped on. After a minute, Justin decided to join him, and climbed on the back! It was pretty funny! It was really great because the boys had fun, and Nicole and I got to catch up a little bit! Hopefully we'll find some time to do it again soon (though next time we can use my house, since the boys made a mess of theirs)!

On Wednesday, we had a BBQ at Millcreek Jr. High with my high school friends to celebrate the 24th! Ryan and Paigely Heath organized it. They bought a ton of hamburgers and hot dogs and even brought their grill over! Bobby and Erica McGuire brought their son Brody, who is only a couple of weeks younger than Ethan! Preston brought some fireworks and had fun setting them off! Everyone played games and had fun! Ethan found a baseball bat and carried it around for awhile! Paul took Ethan around to see some dogs that other people at the park had. We really appreciated how great everyone was with him! PJ and I had a lot of fun! It's nice that after all of these years we still keep in touch with my high school friends!

Collin the Hulk!

I just had to post these pictures of Collin dressed as the incredible Hulk! He picked out the gloves and mask (complete with sound effects) at the store and put them on as soon as he got home! Though Ethan was a little freaked out about it, the rest of us thoroughly enjoyed Collin wandering around the house, hitting the gloves together so they would make sounds! He took off the mask to show Ethan that it was him, and so Ethan would not get scared! Collin is such a great younger brother! He is always so happy and willing to do whatever to make others happy as well! We really love him a lot, and are grateful for the way he always brightens our day! It is impossible to be in a bad mood around him!

Friendship Tag!

Although, I think it should be called memory tag. Anyway, this could be fun, so here's the deal:

1. Add a comment of a memory you have of the two of us together. It doesn't matter if you know me very well or just a little, it can be anything. It can be a recent memory or from way back. Once you leave a comment I will assume you are playing too.

2. Add these instructions to your own post and wait for the memories to start rolling in.

I didn't add any tub pictures to my last post, so here are a few more pictures from this weekend!
