Happy Birthday USA!

We had a great 4th of July swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's, playing a bean bag toss, having a BBQ, a treasure hunt, and watching fireworks!

10 Year Reunion!

The same weekend Noah was born we had my 10 year reunion! I can't believe ten years have passed since I graduated, and I am so grateful to still have my same amazing friends from Davis! Since Niki was in town for the reunion, we girls decided to get together with our kids the night before the official reunion and go to Cherry Hill! Here is Breck, me, Niki, and Julie!

The girls playing in the lazy river with their kids!

This was also Ethan's first time back to Cherry Hill since his accident last August. He was very brave and I think he had a great time (he just didn't want to go into the pirate ship, which is where his accident occurred, but neither did I, so it worked well)!

Jack's first time at Cherry Hill! He didn't stay long, but got to splash a bit in Pirates Cove.

THE REUNION:

Sitting together with our friends during dinner! We had so much fun sharing old stories from the "Glory Days" of Davis High!

Paul Timothy entertaining everyone!

Baby Noah has arrived!

Last Friday, June 25th, 2010, my sister Sarah gave birth to a beautiful little boy names Noah Michael Hess! He weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and was 21 inches long! Sarah has always wanted two little boys and it was not an easy road for her to get here, so we are so excited about his healthy arrival! He really is a handsome little guy!

Ethan and I holding Noah!

Jack was really upset when I was holding Noah. I guess that means he's not ready for a little sibling yet! Look how huge he looks next to Noah!

The proud daddy!

I also thought I'd use this post to update a bit on my cousin's baby. First of all, thank you to any and all of you who prayed for little Penn! Our family has definitely felt a lot of love and support! He has had a lot of ups and down, but is currently doing relatively well at Primary Children's Hospital. He had to have a few surgeries, and there is still a chance hr may have some permanent disabilities, but he is now breathing on his own and putting on weight! Thanks again to all who have shown support!

Where have we been?

It's been a long time since I've posted, so this is where we've been...

Camping with daddy! Ethan's first time and he loved it!

Going to the zoo!

Jack loved riding the carousel and the train!

All the big boys went to baseball games in California! Ethan had fun going to games, swimming with Jake, and was just super excited that he was big enough to go this year!

Playing at the Treehouse Museum!

The boys, my mom, and I took a trip to Texas right before Mother's Day! We swam, went to the park, and had a fun time with Grandma!

So that is where we've been! I hope everyone's spring was as nice as ours!

Please pray for baby Penn!

I don't even know where to start, so I guess I'll just lay it out there. I have been incredibly blessed to give birth to two healthy, full term baby boys, and I think, when this is your only experience, you take for granted how fortunate you are. My cousin Kortney, was not as lucky. She and her husband were expecting their first boy this August, but unfortunately, for reasons unknown, Kortney went into labor on Tuesday night. Doctors were unable to stop her labor, and at only 25 weeks along in the pregnancy, baby Penn was born. He weighed a little over a pound and had be life-flighted to Mckay Dee (he was born in Brigham City). Yesterday, it was discovered he had a massive brain hemorrhage, and could likely have brain damage. My heart has been just breaking for Kortney and her family. I keep wishing I could do something, because this feels like such a helpless situation. So I am putting this out there as something I can do and asking everyone to please pray for Penn and his family! I know any prayers, good thoughts or feelings can make the world of difference!
